Stone steps and low walls climbing through a planted garden in summer

About Green Valley Property Maintenance

An owner-run property maintenance company working out of Bethel, Connecticut.

Our Story

Green Valley Property Maintenance is run by Edgar Roldan Contreras on a simple idea: everything outdoors is only as good as what is underneath it. Anybody can lay a paver or stack a stone. Far fewer crews will dig to full depth, compact the base in lifts, drain behind a wall and put a footing below the frost line — which is the only reason a patio or a wall still looks right after five Connecticut winters.

From our home base on Shelter Rock Road in Bethel we cover Fairfield County and everywhere within about 30 miles — Danbury, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Newtown, Ridgefield, Redding and Wilton on regular routes. Landscaping and lawn care, tree services, masonry, excavation, patios and walkways, and snow plowing all run through the same crew, which is why our schedules hold and our estimates do not drift. It also means one company can take a property from clearing and grading through to a finished patio and a weekly mowing round — instead of you chasing three separate contractors who each blame the last one.

We’re a registered Connecticut LLC and we carry insurance — certificates go to property managers, HOAs and general contractors on request. We work 7am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday, and we go out outside those hours when a storm needs plowing or clearing. Every job starts with a free, written estimate.

What We Stand For

We Show Up

A real start date and a real crew size, not a vague window. If anything moves, you hear it from us first.

Straight Answers

If a wall only needs repointing rather than rebuilding, or a wet lawn is a grading problem rather than a planting one, we say so — even though it costs us the bigger job.

Done Properly

Excavated to depth, compacted in lifts, drained behind, footings below frost. That is where work that survives a Connecticut winter is won.

Local & Owner-Run

Bethel-based, working the same towns every week, and the owner is on the job rather than only on the invoice.

Our Mission

Leave every property looking better than the owner expected, and build the parts that have to last so that they do. We do the steps nobody sees, and we would rather lose a bid than cut the one that makes the work last.

Our Promise

You get the price in writing before we start, and you walk the finished work with us before we leave. If you spot something, we put it right then and there — no argument, no invoice.
